Literary Agenda Reading List 2023/2024

The reading list for the Literary Agenda 2023/2024 is here. The Literary Agenda has for five years given students the opportunity to participate in book circles led by faculty, staff and PhD students. We read seven selected books a year. The aim is to promote self-reflection, empathy and cultural literacy among students.

On screen during February 2023 at : Yinka Shonibare´s film Un Ballo in Maschera

During February 2023 Art Initiative will show the British/Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare´s film Un Ballo in Maschera (2004), on the screen in the north corridor on the ground floor of Sveavägen 65. The screening is yet another way for the students at to learn about Yinka Shonibare´s artistry, as a temporary companion piece to the Yinka Shonibare Room two floors up in the same building.

The Yinka Shonibare Thesis Scholarship to Nigeria

Yinka Shonibare CBE is a world famous British-Nigerian artist who has created the Yinka Shonibare Room in the main building at Sveavägen 65. The artistic fee for this work was generously donated by Yinka Shonibare CBE to the school in order for us to create the Yinka Shonibare Thesis Scholarship. Thanks to this scholarship two students a year will be given the possibility to go to Nigeria for a month to do research for their thesis.

The Yinka Shonibare room fourth art classroom at

Large-scale patterns on the walls and books wrapped in batik fabrics; the newly finished Yinka Shonibare Room is a pedagogical environment that not only provides state-of-the art light, sound, ergonomics and acoustics, it is a room that seeks to evoke emotion and elicit reflection over topics such as globalization, colonialism, world trade and the construction of cultural identity.

New art exhibition: Anna-Karin Rasmusson/APPROACHING

Art Initiative proudly presents the exhibition APPROACHING: three videos by Anna-Karin Rasmusson exhibited in the atrium, the entrance hall and in one of the corridors on the entrance floor during January and February 2020.

Bigert & Bergström's CO2 Lock-In exhibited outside the school

01 October 2020
300 kg is the average weight of a Swede's CO2 emissions for three weeks. Outside the kilos can now nail you to the ground. The artwork CO2 Lock-In by the internationally recognized Stockholm-based artist duo Bigert & Bergström is exhibited on Sveavägen 65 until October 22 by Art Initiative in cooperation with Stockholm Konst.
