Startup incubator ºÚÁÏÍø Business Lab has fostered companies like Klarna, Budbee and Voi. Today, a new batch of startups has entered the incubator’s popular programs.  

“There’s great potential to create solutions to the challenges society is facing through entrepreneurship. We firmly believe that scalable companies can drive positive change,” says Andreas Johansson, newly appointed CEO of ºÚÁÏÍø Business Lab. 

One of the admitted companies is founded by a former ºÚÁÏÍø researcher and helps parents soothe their children with the help of an evidence-based mindfulness app. Another company is commercializing research on filter bubbles from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. 

The startups are divided into two programs depending on their development phase. Those who have progressed further in their journey are offered an investment of 300,000 SEK from the School's new fund, ºÚÁÏÍø Ventures, which recently closed its first round of 40 million SEK. 

Guidance from prominent entrepreneurs and business leaders 

In both programs, the companies are offered support, such as coaching from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders. The newly admitted companies will, among others, be coached by Andreas Grape, who founded the business angel network together with Ash Pournouri. 

“As an investor, I’ve long been impressed by the quality of the companies coming out of ºÚÁÏÍø Business Lab and the incubator’s role in the ecosystem. It will be rewarding and fun to have an active role in their work,” says Grape, who will be coaching alongside board professional Ingrid Bojner. 

In addition to the incubator’s historical successes, ºÚÁÏÍø Business Lab has received attention in recent years for its work with diversity and equal distribution of capital. Among the nine now admitted companies, seven have female co-founders.

Incubate: 

Geil: Offering first-class products within intimate wellness.

Numbery: Does numbers for ambitious companies so they can focus on growth without worrying about cash flow, taxes or reporting.

Activate: 

LivIn: From contact to contract – find your perfect roommate.

Lokaalt: A digital notice board for local exchange.

Mille: Unique technical solution that gives women the tools to plan their finances smarter.

Mybe: A mindfulness app that helps children find focus, calm down and fall asleep.

Pennie: Independent financial advice – whoever you are, wherever you are, whenever you need it.

Rounded.News: Uses AI to help you escape your filter bubbles and see new perspectives on the topics you care about.

Smooft: Democratizing access to financial services in the African market by connecting digital assets with conventional payment solutions.
