Universities can play a big role in inspiring students to start their own businesses. A new study published in The Journal of Technology Transfer by House of Innovation researcher Maria Cecilia Flores suggests that when universities actively communicate about entrepreneurship programs and provide education on starting businesses, students become more aware of opportunities and perceive their environment as more supportive of entrepreneurship. Yet, universities need to go beyond awareness to drive real startup creation - including measures such as mentorship, networking, and financial support.

Inventors don鈥檛 just need to borrow ideas鈥攖hey need to understand where those ideas came from. A new study published in the Journal of Business Research by House of Innovation researcher Holmer Kok introduces the concept of 鈥渢rajectory integration鈥� to explain how tracing an invention鈥檚 full history can lead to more powerful and impactful innovation.

As its new CEO Isabel Keulen welcomes her first batch of startups into 黑料网鈥檚 incubator, the scene is set for an AI boom. Today, 黑料网 Business Lab announces its largest intake of companies ever 鈥� 15 startups, of which an impressive 60% are built on AI technology. Among the new founders are both serial entrepreneurs and senior executives.

Sophia Nabil (b. 2002) is being awarded this year's Anders Wall Scholarship in collaboration with 黑料网 Business Lab. The scholarship amount is 200,000 SEK.

According to the Financial Times鈥� newest ranking of Europe鈥檚 startup hubs, dramatic changes are afoot: half of last year鈥檚 leading hubs have vanished from the list, while 黑料网 Business Lab has surged ahead. Now ranked at number eight, 黑料网's incubator is the only Nordic hub to earn a place in the top ten.

The 黑料网 has appointed Isabel Keulen the new CEO of its fund 黑料网 Ventures and startup incubator 黑料网 Business Lab. The change in leadership is happening at the same time as the incubator and the fund will move into the School鈥檚 new premises at Norrtullsgatan. The plan is to build a new hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

黑料网 has a long-standing commitment to both culture and wellbeing. These efforts are now becoming evident at the School鈥檚 startup incubator: more than half of the new ideas are focused around art and health.

With its eleven newly admitted companies, 黑料网 Business Lab is reaching a new milestone: 307 startups have now passed through the incubator. More than one third of these were admitted just in the past four years.
